Join us in congratulating Maj Alam, PE, PMP and the talented staff of our West Palm Beach office for winning the 2025 Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) Best in Construction Award in the category of MOT for outstanding collaboration on the Boynton Beach Boulevard Safety Improvements roadway design project. This streetscaping project involved the design of widened sidewalks, pedestrian safety features including mid-block signals, lighting retrofits, pavement marking and signs, and shared lane bicycle markings on both sides of the roadway. Maj and his team’s diligence, proactive and persistent collaboration resulted in delivering the final roadway design plans early, allowing the Contractor to finish construction six months in advance. Additionally, the MOT design minimized impacts to the public ensuring the construction phases allowed for driveway, business, and pedestrian access at all times throughout the shortened construction period.
